Cypress Villages Update, May 15, 2007

The Cypress Villages project continues to make progress each day. This last week, we participated in the community wide yagya for Peace and success in all walks of life. A photograph of our CV staff was sent to Maharishi along with a letter of appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to Raam Raj.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending a Muhurt celebration for friends of mine who were moving into their new MSV home. It was a very blissful, powerful experience, and one which we can all look forward to recreating 208 times at Cypress Villages very quickly!
We still plan to break ground in late June on roads and grading. We have identified the construction in four phases, and will commence on the first two phases simultaneously. There will be approximately 108 lots given away in the Southeast and Southwest sections, ranging from small Vastu lots for homes in the 525-1040 SF range to large Vastu lots for homes in the 3,000 SF and up size. Also included will be Vastu lots for a duplex, triplex or a four-plex. If all goes well, construction of homes can begin in late July. We will be sending you graphics of the Phases and the numbered lots by the end of this week.
Many of you have already placed a $2,500 secured deposit with us in order to demonstrate your commitment and to solidify your lot selection order. We encourage everyone to do this so we can have an immediate and successful beginning.
Our design team is working with Maharishi Sthapathya Veda consultants to develop 10 Stock Home Plans. Those plans and elevations will be accessible on the Cypress Villages website through a secured system in one to two weeks. You can also make an appointment to come into the CV offices in Fairfield and see the progress on the plans. Custom home plans are still an option as well.
Maharishi Vedic City has expressed a strong interest in allowing us to annex our project into the city. Their taxes are low, less than half that of City of Fairfield and about the same as the county. We are seeing that there are many benefits for both communities and we will keep you informed of the progress. In the meantime, we will present our engineering and design data to Jefferson County officials in order to obtain formal subdivision approval which will allow lenders may make construction loans.
CC&R's: 'Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions' are an important part of any subdivision, and our team has worked hard to create a simple yet powerful set. CC&R's should be available by the end of this week. CC&R's are written to allow creative growth and expansion of the community while maintaining the integrity of the original vision.
The bottom line: the last point for today is the good news that our total prices continue to stay from 10 to 20% lower than comparable sized Maharishi Sthaphathya homes and lots built in MVC, Fairfield or Jefferson County. When you see the CV materials specifications, you'll understand how amazing this is, because we have chosen very, very good materials as our standard. The infrastructure of the project is also of the highest and best standards, from the roads to the ecological supporting utility systems.
One new direction for us, is that we are actively seeking one or two Prime Contractors to work with us. Cypress Villages is a very large undertaking, and we want a local/regional company with the capability to take on a large portion of the work and meet our schedule and prices. In the beginning we will perform our own interior finish work, landscaping and permaculture installations, while managing the site work and shell construction.
